“It is in playing and only in playing that the individual child or adult is able to be creative and to use the whole personality, and it is only in being creative that the individual discovers the self.”
Donald Woods Winnicott
At Inklein Psychotherapy we see therapy as an invitation to explore past and present experiences as well as relationships, in a safe, supportive environment.
We believe in the healing power of feeling connected - connected to oneself and connected to others. We believe this sense of connection derives from one’s ability to know oneself more deeply and through accessing different levels of awareness through the mindful presence and inner exploration.
We see clients as the experts in their lives, experiences, and journey. We view therapy as a place that allows us to find and express our natural power to heal and grow. In this journey, expect the therapist to be actively engaged in helping clients draw on their inner resources and move through their difficulties with a greater sense of empowerment, clarity, and support. We encourage clients to explore what works for them and find their path toward living a full and meaningful life.
Therapeutic Philosophy.
