About

Meet
Dr. Kleinerman

As a native of Israel, I decided to make Austin my home after several transitions between countries and continents including Texas, California, and my homeland. I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Texas and in Israel.

I hold a Ph.D. Degree from the University of Bar-Ilan in clinical, educational and developmental psychology. My dissertation focused on attachment theory in relation to children and their school teachers. For the last seven years I worked at DeepEddy Psychotherapy Austin as a licensed psychologist and Pediatric Clinical Director.

I work with all ages and a wide variety of symptoms: depression, anxiety adjustment to life changes and life transitions. I specialize in working with adults in individual psychotherapy and couples therapy through psychodynamic and attachment system lenses. One of my main fields of expertise is children’s mental health as well as parental guidance. In addition, I have experience in the area of potty training, bed wetting and encopresis. I worked for 4 years alongside Dr. Kushnir, the pioneer in bed wetting, encopresis and toilet training in Israel.

One of my focuses is couples therapy through the lenses of attachment theory. I trained at the PACT Institute, helping partners build security and trust, as well as the capacity to move through challenging situations (such as emotional dysregulation) with more ease.

Throughout my training, I worked in different community mental health clinics and inpatient pediatric mental health units in Israel. During these years I treated and assessed a variety of cases, including hospitalized children with heavy psychopathology, such as developmental disorders, severe behavioral disorders, and depression. In outpatient settings, I provided assessment and treatment for children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of emotional, behavioral, and developmental disabilities. During my first year of training in the US I worked at InMindOut wellness center in New Braunfels, TX, providing therapy for all ages, including play therapy for children, parental guidance, family therapy sessions, and psychological assessments.

I am married and a proud mother of two sons and a daughter. When I am not busy working, I enjoy tennis, yoga, mindfulness practice, traveling, and listening to audiobooks.
